Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Newark, NJ - Hybrid (2/3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12 Months (Temp to Hire)


Job description:
In this role you will:
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Continuous upskilling of user platforms to support and in some cases administer updates within the system (configuration, tables, administration).
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Performing user acceptance testing.
  • Working closely with the Product Owner ensuring the team is focused on the right priorities.
  • Creating and developing user stories and maintaining the backlog.
  • Managing competing priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Develop proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and AGILE tools (JIRA, MIRO).
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with key decision makers.
  • Agile mindset.
  • Requirement documentation.
  • Process flow diagrams.
  • Organized & Detail Oriented.
  • Data analysis & integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment.
  • Experience with AGILE tool.
  • BA/BS in CS, Information Systems or Information management or Systems design.
  • Life and Disability experience.
  • Group Insurance experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Databases and Analytical/Reporting tools such as PowerBI/Tableau a plus.
